Easter Egg Hunt

We had a great time at Greenville's Largest Easter Egg Hunt.  The kids were beaming - and now they are bouncing off the wall from sugar overload!

Pitt vs New Bern

We weren't very good today, so I put together a video of the best hits instead.

Riley Goes To States

It's been a while since we last posted - so we are going to add a bunch of new pics. These are of Riley at the State Championship meet help at UNC Chapel Hill. Riley swam the 500 yard freestyle in 5:43 and finished 22 overall for all of North Carolina. Great job Riley!

It may not be snowing...

...but it's still cooollldddd! Cooper and Carson are the answer to our sustainable energy problem. They have the energy to power all of Greenville - with enough left over for the out lying areas as well.

So Much For Global Warming!!!

Two weeks ago, we got quite the snow storm -the first in Eastern Carolina in at least 4 years. Carson and Cooper just couldn't stand being inside any longer - so they braved the freezing temps to jump on the trampoline.

Riley On To Regionals

Riley made it out of Counties and on to Regionals in the max number of events - the 500 Freestyle, 100 Fly, 200 Medley Relay and the 400 Freestyle Relay. He set PRs in his individual events.

We couldn't be more proud of him!

Weird Science

Clay advanced to the next round of the Science Fair by finishing in the Top 3 at Christ Covenant. He will present his exhibit at East Carolina University late in February.

Clay's project used a Watt meter to determine which items in our house used the most energy and to find out what would save us the most in energy costs.

HIs findings? Compact Flourescent Light (CFL) bulbs could save us up to $90 a month. Now if we can just find the $500 to buy them all!

Sniper!!!

I don't normally post other videos here, but having been in soccer most of my life and sat on the sidelines yelling "Sniper!!!" every time somebody faked a foul, this was way too funny not to share.

Home for the Holidays

We took these pictures just before Cody left to go back to Florida for college. We all had such a great time with Cody in North Carolina, the time just flew by.

Molly Finds a New Home

We finally got Molly on Wednesday. Molly is an English Coonhound that we adopted. Molly is sweet, quiet and gentle. We are so excited to have her in our home. We also got the fence installed on Monday - this is our new backyard.

Up Close and Personal

It doesn't get any better than third row seats for a hockey game. Courtesy of ABB (I love this place!), Cody, Riley, Clay and I went to see the Carolina Hurricanes take on the St. Louis Blues. We were close enough to see them sweat - and who had broken their nose. The Hurricanes won 2-1.

That's me to the right in the picture - the boys sat to my left. We couldn't find of the boys :-(

Merry Rockin' Christmas

Santa came down the chimney on Christmas Eve and brought a big sack full of gifts. Everyone was delighted and Cooper really got into the spirit of Christmas as he tried to open everyone's presents!

Guitar Hero definitely seemed to be the biggest hit of the year. Other gifts included Sirius satellite radio (me), a Tar Heel Fat Head (Clay), a roaring dinosaur (Carson) and so much more.

Christmas Eve

The whole family plus G-Mom and G-Dad went to the Hansen's house for a Christmas Eve party. Several other families from ABB were also there - the Rennies, Marco and his daughter, Nicole, the O'Donnells and the Hacketts (aka Santa). It was a great time of relaxing and fellowshipping.

Santa came with gifts for the kids!

Hoops Mania

Even though Riley has a birthday in less than a week, Cody is coming home from college and Santa is coming down the chimney, Clay started basketball season on Wednesday. We may be in the Tar Heel state, but no one will mistake Christ Covenant for our cross state college.

Clay's team lost 47-6, but on the bright side he got to play against Lou Holtz' grandson and ECU football coach Skip Holtz' son.

Special thanks to the Rennie's for the pictures!

Pinetops Parade

This is the biggest parade in Eastern North Carolina and we got to ride on ABB's float. It was a throwback to the past and just an awesome time! The parade had old fashioned cars, Shriners on horseback, fire engines and high school marching bands that just rocked.

Guess what these guys have in common? They were smart enough to escape ESAB!

Sugar Rush

Add Pizza, Coke, Birthday Cake and plenty of Oreos and this is what you get!

Cooper Turns Two

Cooper had his second birthday party Friday night and had a great time opening presents and eating cake.
